PASIGHAT, Apr 22: The Women and Child Development (WCD) Department of East Siang District, Pasighat, concluded the 7th edition of Rashtriya Poshan Pakhwada 2025 by organizing a District-Level Recipe Competition. The event showcased the cooking skills of supervisors and Gramsevikas from the District’s three ICDS projects at the DC’s Conference Hall, Pasighat. The Supervisor-Gramsevika of Pasighat ICDS Project was adjudged the first position; the second spot went to Ruksin ICDS Project followed by Mebo ICDS Project in third place.
Sanjay Taram, SDO, as Chief Guest praised the WCD Department for its dedication and sincerity in effectively implementing the Poshan Pakwada and other schemes. Yamo Tamut, EAC, as Guest of Honour encouraged the field staff to continue their invaluable service to beneficiaries, while Dr. Nydak Angu, DRCHO, as Special Guest provided insights into the importance of nutrition for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
Highlighting the initiatives to combat malnutrition and highlighting the significance of the program, M. Gao, Deputy Director of ICDS and Nodal Officer for Poshan Abhiyan, briefed attendees on the Department’s efforts to combat malnutrition among children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. She commended the CDPOs for successfully implementing various suggested activities of the 7th Rashtriya Poshan Pakwada 2025 in their respective ICDS projects.
The CDPOs of Pasighat, Mebo, and Ruksin ICDS Projects shared their achievements during the fortnight-long event while highlighting various activities undertaken.
