TALIHA, Aug 13: Minister for IPR & Printing, Nyato Dukam, today launched the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan from Taliha. During the launch event, he distributed national flags to the attendees and urged all citizens to proudly hoist the Tricolor at their homes and establishments, emphasizing the importance of celebrating the spirit of India.
“The Tricolor is a symbol of our unity and pride. Let us all raise it high and celebrate the indomitable spirit of our nation,” he stated.
Earlier in the day, the Minister received a rousing welcome from the people of Taliha Assembly Constituency, marking his first visit to the constituency as a State Cabinet Minister. Dukam, who was elected unopposed from the 23rd Taliha Assembly Constituency in the recently held elections, is the first to hold a Cabinet position from the constituency.
Expressing his gratitude, the Minister said, “The affection, trust, and unwavering support from the people of Taliha strengthen my resolve to work tirelessly for the upliftment of our community and the entire state.”
In a subsequent coordination meeting held at Taliha, attended by the Heads of Departments (HoDs) from Kodak ADC Headquarters and PRI leaders, Minister Dukam made significant announcements for the region. He revealed that the Kodak ADC Headquarters, currently functioning temporarily from Taliha due to incomplete infrastructure, will be relocated to Kodak by October this year.
The Minister also announced that the creation of Lable Circle is being actively pursued, with the aim of establishing it by the end of the year, subject to successful completion of the required processes. In a forward-looking move, he also hinted at the launch of the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, an initiative aimed at revitalizing border villages by providing essential facilities and services.
Dukam emphasized the importance of sustaining vibrant communities in border regions, stating, “Our border villages are vital to the security and cultural richness of our state. Through the Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, we will work to ensure that these communities receive the attention and resources necessary for their development and prosperity.”
During his address, Minister Dukam urged the HoDs to work with diligence and a commitment to delivering quality services to the people. He emphasized that the grassroots leaders, particularly the PRI leaders, have a crucial role in transforming rural Arunachal by empowering the local populace.
“With the devolution of powers, functions, and funds to the PRIs by the state government, it is imperative that all leaders and officials be proactive in ensuring that the benefits of various flagship schemes reach the masses. Strong coordination between departments and PRIs is essential for the effective implementation of these schemes,” Dukam said. He further stressed, “Do not perform your duties merely as a formality; take on the responsibility with a vision for the common and holistic development of all.”
The Minister also visited the Community Health Centre and Government Secondary School in Taliha, and the Kodak ADC Headquarters where he assessed the facilities and took note of the challenges faced by these institutions. He assured the community that their concerns would be addressed, reaffirming his commitment to improving public services in the region.
