PASIGHAT, June 30: The East Siang Police in coordination with WASE of Pasighat, apprehended a suspected drug peddler at Ruksin on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Hiren Bori, a resident of Rest Camp, June-kareng, Dhemaji district, Assam.
The action was carried under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Dr. Sachin Singhal and a police team lead by SDPO Ruksin Ayup Boko, OC Ruksin Igel Lollen and SI Kuncha Tangha.
Upon searching approximately 10 gms of suspected heroin was found. Accordingly a case has been registered at Ruksin Police Station under NDPS Act.
The East Siang SP while extending his thanks to WASE executives Yamik Dulom Darang and Joya Tasung Moyong in particular and their associates has requested the common public and well wishers to share information on drug peddling and drug users without any hesitation so that together police could contain the issue with iron hands in making East Siang a drug free district.
