Itanagar, Oct 23: The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)of Dera Natung Government College(DNGC), Itanagar is organising a three-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) which began today.
The EAP is being organised in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, Guwahati and funded by North Eastern Council, Shillong.
The first day of EAP is successfully conducted on 23rd October at DNGC Seminar Hall with fifty participants. The inaugural program started with welcome address by Dr. Nabaratna Bhagawati, co-coordinator of EDC, DNGC.
The chief guest of the event Dr. M. Q. Khan, principal DNGC, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship among the participants. He also motivated the audience to take entrepreneurship as serious career option. He urged the participants to reap the optimum benefits out of the programme and to create employment opportunities for the unemployed youths of our state through their entrepreneurship development.
Pate Jumshi, coordinator EDC, DNGC explained the NEC sponsored project in detail. Manish Mall, Project Consultant, Arunachal Pradesh Innovation & Investment Park (APIIP), presented first technical session on how to prepare a successful business plan. He also highlighted different grant schemes of Arunachal Pradesh State Government for startups. Likam Markia, proprietor Ita motors, presented the second technical session. He shared his story of entrepreneurial journey and challenges he faced and possible solutions.
Among the participants thirteen business ideas were pitched in front of the judges. The best startup ideas will be selected for rigorous training during the five-day Entrepreneurship Development Program to be held at a later date.
