ITANAGAR, Nov 20: In an effort to promote energy efficiency and awareness, the Department of Physics, Dera Natung Government College and Arunachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency organized a comprehensive one-day Retailer Training-cum-Workshop program  adhering to the standards of the labelling program by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power. 
Inaugurating the programme, Er. Asi Linggi, Deputy Director of APEDA, emphasized the objectives and significance of star labelling for electronic appliances. He stressed the global commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2070, underlining the collective responsibility to create a sustainable and safer Earth for future generations. Dr. M. Q Khan, Principal of DNGC, praised APEDA's initiative in raising awareness among students about energy conservation and efficiency. He underscored the crucial role energy plays in our daily lives.
The resource person for the event, Rana Pratap Poddar, an Energy Auditor from IVENCO EWSA SERVICES, facilitated an engaging and interactive training session. Poddar acquainted participants with the standards and labelling protocols for electronic appliances, emphasizing the BEE star labelling and rating system.
The program featured three highly successful technical sessions, offering valuable insights from a consumer perspective. The culmination of the event was marked by an energetic Quiz competition, showcasing the enthusiastic participation of students. Thupen Eton, Minyir Ingo, and Chello Nimey secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, respectively.
