Namsai, Feb 8: With a motto to promote reading habits among the students of the area, a mass Library awareness campaign cum library membership drive organised by the District Library, Namsai in two phases concluded today in Mahabodhi Lord Buddha College, Piyong.
The first phase of the program was organized in the month of December, 2024 to cover all the Middle, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools in the township and Govt. Nursing School, Namsai  and  Arunachal University of Studies Namsai and in the second phase of the program covered Ven Bethani College, Namsai, C.P. Namchoom Govt. polytechnic College, Namsai  and Mahabodhi Lord Budda College, Piyong. More than 2000 students alongwith teachers and faculty members have benefited from the program. Huge number of enrolment of students has recorded during the program. 
The program was initiated by Namsai Deputy Commissioner C.R.Khampa to spread the message of joy of reading among the student community and to encourage them to avail the maximum benefit of the hi-tech district Library, Namsai. In order to facilitate large number of library users, the District Library Namsai remains open 6 days a week.
