Khonsa, July 18: The PWD Office, Khonsa became a focal point for proactive disaster preparedness efforts as the Department of Disaster Management (DM) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) joined hands for a comprehensive familiarisation program.
The session commenced with an informative briefing by experts from DM and NDRF, highlighting crucial aspects of disaster management including risk assessment, emergency response protocols, and community resilience building. Participants, including Engineers and government officials,  actively participated in the demonstration and practical simulations aimed at honing their disaster response skills.
The training emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts and quick response times in mitigating the impact of disasters on communities. Practical exercises simulated various emergency scenarios, providing participants with hands-on experience and reinforcing the significance of preparedness and swift action.
EE PWD Taro Jeram attended the whole training programs, He  appreciated and  emphasized the collaborative spirit driving the initiative and underscored the commitment to ensuring the safety and security of residents in the face of potential disasters.
