Itanagar, Jun 11: The Department of Disaster Management convened a meeting with the representatives of major hospitals, cinema halls and shopping malls of Itanagar Capital Complex on Tuesday in the Directorate of Disaster Management, in order to review the emergency preparedness of those institution in case of any disaster. Representatives from RK Mission Hospital, Hema Hospital, Hormin Hospital, BTM Hospital, Niba Hospital, Droodel Cinema, TNZ Cinema, National Cinema, Carnival Cinema, Reliance, Pantaloons, V-Mart etc along with representative from NDRF, SDRF and Fire &Emergency Services attended the meeting.
While attending the meeting, virtually, Dr. Hari Kumar, from GeoHazards Society India, New Delhi presented paper on importance of Disaster Preparedness Plan in said facilities. The meeting was chaired by Komkar Dulom, Addl. Secretary cum Director Disaster Management, he reviewed the emergency response preparedness of each hospital, cinema hall and shopping mall and stressed to all concerned to prepare Disaster Management Plan for their institution and periodically test it through mock exercise. He further informed the house that the department will organise training programme shortly for preparation of DM Plans of hospitals and mock exercise shall be conducted in major hospitals of Itanagar Capital Complex.
