Yingkiong, Apr 3: Upper Siang District Election Officer, Hage Lailang felicitated District Election Icon Everester Kishon Tekseng, Constituency Icons Ms. Lovely Patuk, Winner of Upper Siang Idol 2024 Season 3 and Ms. Ogul Langkam, Runner Up Upper Siang Idol 2024 Season 3 for 34-Tuting –Yingkiong AC(ST) and 40-Geku-Mariyang AC(ST) respectively  selected for carrying out SVEEP activities in the district at his chamber today.
After the felicitation ceremony, DC Hage Lailang briefly highlighted the role and responsibilities of selected icons in volunteering promotion of voter’s participation for information and ethical voting.  He further advised them to play their role responsibly in spreading voter’s awareness and encouraging the greater participation of new voters in the election process and disseminate the right messages to the masses to participate the democratic process of the country.
In the meantime, Nodal Officer SVEEP Beru Dulom also explained objective of selecting Icons for SVEEP activities and their responsibilities.
Among others attended the programme were Oli Perme, ADC cum ARO, Yingkiong, ERO Rajiv Chiduni, Nodal Officers SVEEP Beru Dulom, CO Kenbang Jongkey and staff.
