ITANAGAR, Nov 29: The Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar, Talo Potom along with the ADC Capital Itanagar Shweta Nagarkoti felicitated the winners of various literary competitions held earlier on August 11 last at GSS G- Sector Naharlagun as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav commemorating 76 years of Independence Day celebrations. 
In the senior patriotic essay writing competition( class XI- XII) Bamang Mating, a student of class XII GHSS Ganga Itanagar stood first. Lingdum Takum class XII GHSS Arunodaya stood second and Tai Kaya class XI, GHSS Polo Colony naharlagun stood third and were felicitated with a certificate and an amount of Rs 6000, 5000 and 3000 respectively. 
In the junior category( class IX-X) Bengia Bima Class X, GSS G- sector Nahargun, Kamang Pabin Class X GHSS Polo colony and Biri Yasi class IX GSS Chimpu stood 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively and were awarded with a certificate and Rs 5000, 4000 and 2500. 
In the senior painting competition category( Class VI to VIII) Lijum Bole, Class VIII GSS G- Sector Naharlagun, Suren Munda Class VIII GUPS Jollang Itanagar and Dani Rebe Class VIII GSS G- Sector Naharlagun stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd and were awarded with certificates and cash prize of Rs 4000, 3000 and 2000 respectively.
In the junior category( class III-V), Teri Manju class V GUPS Pappunallah, Yade Hina Class IV GUPS Model village Nlg and Lokam Peter, Class V GUPS Damsite stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd and were felicitated with a certificate and cash award of Rs 3000, 2000 and 1000 respectively. 
In the senior extempore speech competition( class XI-XII), Charu Peter, class XII GHSS Ganga, Nik Tape, class XII GHSS polo Colony Naharlagun and Bamang Osha Class XI GHSS Itanagar stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd with cash award of Rs, 6000, 5000 and 3000 along with certificates.
In the junior category( Class IX-X), Likha Tasso from GSS Nirjuli Tarh Ona from GSS Nirjuli and Biri Yaming GSS P- Sector Itanagar stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd with cash award of Rs 5000, 4000 and 2500 respectively with certificates. All three winners are student of class X. 
The DC wished his best to the students to do better in life. Terming the students as the future or the State, he urged them to work with sincerity and dedication to achieve success in life. 
The ADC also lauded the students for their exemplary performance. 
Earlier, Tori Gadi APO( festival) while welcoming all presented the keynote address. He informed that the event was conducted by DDSE ICR establishment in collaboration with District Administration Capital Itanagar. He further informed that from next year onwards, various other activities like debate competition, quiz competitions etc would be included during such competitions. 
 The students were accompanied by Headmistress of GSS G sector Itanagar Tarh Yaku.
