NAMSAI, Sep 28: District Level Task Force(DLTF) meeting under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Namsai CR Khampa and was attended by DMO, DRCHO, DySP, CDPOs, staff of WCD department. 
The DC called upon the officers of WCD and Health department to facilitate convergence  and run the program with diligence and determination. He exhorted that in order for the program to be successful strengthening of activities at grassroot level by ASHAs and anganwadi workers is the need of the hour.
During the discussion the importance of creating awareness and providing essential support and guidance to the girl child was emphasised. 
CDPO, Namsai, provided a comprehensive overview of all activities envisaged under the program. She informed the house that the number of female per 1000 male in Namsai district is below national average. A district plan of the mandated activities under BBBP was chalked out.
