ROING, Sep 28: The District Consultative Committee cum District Level Review Committee meeting for March to June Quarter was conducted today at the DC’s Conference Hall, Roing. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh and attended by Bank representatives and HoDs of concerned departments.
The main objective of the meeting was to present a comprehensive status of the banking system in the district, assess performance of banks in priority sector lending and other schemes under financial inclusion, monitor the progress of Atma Nirbhar schemes being implemented by the state government through the banking system.
DC Soumya Saurabh gave various suggestions to improve the performance of banks and departments in execution of the Atma Nirbhar schemes. She also advised the implementing departments regarding the need for urgency in beneficiary selection and approval from the banks for the current year’s Atma Nirbhar schemes, which are going to be launched soon.
Lead District Manager U. Wailong gave the house an overview of the banking sector and provided information and clarification when required.
