Roing, Jun 24: Dambuk MLA Puinnyo Apum and DC Soumya Saurabh flagged off a bus donated by NHPC under its CSR & SD initiative, 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project to the Government Higher Secondary School, Dambuk today.
MLA Apum, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the initiative of NHPC and the District Administration and called it a ‘beacon of hope and tool for progress’. 
“This donation shows the commitment of NHPC to educate the young minds ensuring their brighter future and the responsibility undertaken of bridging the gap between corporate resources and social responsibility towards the community,” he added.
The MLA advised the students to attend school regularly, study diligently and make their dreams come true. “We have invested in your future and now it is your responsibility to make the most out of this opportunity, which ensures a means to reach school safely while also reducing the challenges of travelling long distances,” he said.
Present during the occasion were Executive Director (Dibang Multipurpose project) L. K. Tripathy, ADC(Dambuk) T. R. Tapu, ZPMs, heads of departments, Gaon Burahs, students and public of the area.
