BOMDILA, Nov 3: Deputy Commissioner of West Kameng, Akriti Sagar chaired a coordination meeting with the ArSLM, line departments and Block Mission Managers (BMM) across five subdivisions on Friday. The aim of the meeting was to assess the progress of various ongoing schemes and evaluate the performance of self-help groups (SHGs) while gaining insights into the challenges faced at the grassroots level.
Sagar commended the BMMs for their commendable work at the grassroots level. She emphasized the importance of coordination between BMMs, concerned administrative officers, and other stakeholders to effectively address the obstacles faced. Furthermore, she urged the ArSLM to support and promote special SHGs, including those representing physically handicapped individuals and transgender individuals. She also stressed the need for coordinated efforts with ANMs and ASHA workers to ensure comprehensive household coverage.
The BMMs, in turn, presented the achievements of SHGs within their respective clusters and outlined the challenges they encountered through informative presentations (DIPRO).
