Lapnan, Oct 21: The 36Bn CRPF conducted Civic Action Program at Lapnan village in Tirap District in which Sewing machines were distributed to BPL women beneficiaries.
While handing over the Sewing machines, Commandant Lamkhokam Lhoujem said that the 36Bn CRPF have conducted series of Civic Action Programs in outreach region of various parts of Tirap district which includes providing of Solar lantern to students, solar street light and tailoring machine etc. He added that the concept of conducting Civic Action Program aims to create closer relations and understanding between security forces and civil society.
SP Tirap Rahul Gupta while attending the CAP program said that security forces irrespective of CRPF, Police and Para Military Forces are being deployed/posted by government for well being of the civil societies and peaceful co-existence but uniforms, personnel should not be considered as a harassment to the general public. He sought cooperation from all walks of life for peaceful and successful conduct of upcoming 2024 Election.
