ITANAGAR, Feb 5: The Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has strongly condemned the attack on the private residence of TRIHMS Director Dr. Moji Jini by former President of All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA), Byabang Joram.
CoSAAP in its press statement claimed that, Joram allegedly forced his way into the private residence of Dr. Jini around 2:30 AM on Wednesday, vandalising property and attempting a physical assault. He is also accused of repeatedly intimidating the doctor and his family while making ransom demands.
Terming the incident as a "barbaric act," CoSAAP has called for strict legal action against Joram and urged law enforcement to ensure justice. The association also commended the Capital Police for their prompt intervention, which led to Joram’s arrest later that morning.
Expressing solidarity with Dr. Jini and his family, CoSAAP has urged the public to stand against such unlawful acts and uphold a civilized society.
Meanwhile, terming the incident as a cowardly and heinous act, TRIHMS Faculty Association (TFA) has also condemned the incident and resolved to stage a dharna as a mark of protest on Thursday at TRIHMS.
