PASIGHAT, Oct 17: The seventh Convocation of Apex Professional University (APU), Pasighat was held on October 15 last at the Shruti Hall, Science block of the university.
Education Commissioner Amjad Tak who attended as chief guest congratulated the student achievers and emphasized the vital role universities play in the overall development of society. He called upon the students for pursuing excellence with a futuristic mindset in their chosen fields. "Peace, order and discipline were essential in every educational campus," Tak said urging students to work hard and realize their social responsibilities in life.
Congratulating the awardees, degree recipients and distinction holders, the Commissioner urged the students to carry forward knowledge and wisdom to bring positive changes to society.
Tak further said that the university must have proper academic calendar and that it must be implemented in letter and spirit.  He complemented the Chancellor for his pragmatic work and expressed hope that the APU would continue to provide education among the youths.
In his speech, Chancellor Acharya Dhanwant Singh informed the University has been identified and recognized by AICTE, Ministry of Education, and Govt. of India as Center OF Excellence in Indian Knowledge System to foster the education, research and development in Indian Knowledge system.
The VC Prof NA Khan conveyed the message of Honorable Visitor of the APU Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Lt Gen KT Parnaik. He also informed about the new developments in the University.
