Changlang, Sep 12: Building on the key insights and strategies formulated during the Chintan Shivir cum Education Conclave held from August 8-10 in Itanagar, the first follow-up programme took place today in Changlang District. This session marks a significant step in Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to improving the education system at the grassroots level, focusing on tangible outcomes from the discussions held during the conclave.
Chaired by Minister of Education Pasang Dorjee Sona, attendees of the programme included Speaker APLA Tesam Pongte; Advisor Mutchu Mithi; MLAs Hamjong Tangha and Laisam Simai, Commissioner Education Amjad Tak, among others.
The programme featured in-depth discussions on implementing the education reforms outlined during the conclave. The Minister said, “Generally, there is a practice where people go on to visit conclaves or seminars and come back and forget a lot of things that were discussed. But here, we wanted to not only follow up but also ensure that the key implementation agenda we had set during the Educational conclave have been implemented or not. Education is our key priority and we cannot afford losing any more time. Over time it is realized that a lot of our resources got scattered and despite having good human resources, the division of the same created problems in ensuring a complete overhaul of the education system. Now, we are clubbing these resources and thus, ensuring that we utilize the resources to the best of their potential. Half the battle is already won once we club these resources. Thus, we are here to seek your support and commitment.”
The Changlang follow-up programme focused on key areas such as improving school infrastructure, enhancing teacher training programmes, and addressing the needs of remote and border schools. The follow-up programmes will continue across districts to further the goals established during the conclave, ensuring that the outcomes are aligned with the educational transformation roadmap for the state.
