Itanagar, Sep 21: The new Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, called on the Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Saturday. It was a courtesy meeting by the Chief Secretary, who took office on September 16.
During the meeting, the Governor extended his best wishes to the Chief Secretary. He hoped Gupta would assess key sectors and lead the State officials, contributing to the State's developmental progress.
The Governor advised the Chief Secretary to prioritize issues such as strengthening border villages, combating drug trafficking, enhancing the emergency response mechanism, and addressing various challenges faced by the general public. He also highlighted the importance of leveraging technology, including geospatial tools, for real-time monitoring.
