Itanagar, Oct 16: Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Som Parkash, arrived at Tawang on a three-day visit on Monday.
He chaired a comprehensive review meeting with the head of offices of the district covering the progress of development and various public welfare schemes of the Central Government.
“Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji, the Govt is working determinedly for the development of Arunachal Pradesh & several schemes are being run to fulfill aspirations of the people,” Parkash wrote on X after reviewing the progress of the schemes with the district administration in Tawang.
During the meeting, the Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the sincere and dedicated efforts of the officers and their staffers in their work towards achieving the goals of flagship programmes.
He stressed the importance of these initiatives in promoting economic growth and development in the region, and commended the commitment of district administration in their successful implementation.
Minister Som Parkash also provided valuable advice to the officers, encouraging them to keep up the good work and dedication in their endeavours.
At the meeting, Tawang District Planning Officer Choiki Dondup gave a presentation on the various ongoing flagship programmes in the district, providing a detailed overview of their progress and challenges.
Deputy Commissioner Kanki Darang, who earlier along with SP Dr DW Thongon and other officers accorded a warm reception to the MoS at the Ugyen Sangpo Civil Helipad at Changprong, Tawang upon his arrival, was also present at the meeting. He expressed gratitude to the Minister for the visit, highlighting its significance for the district’s development.
