New Delhi, Aug 20: The Centre has assured to release pending Government of India share of ₹457.59 Cr and additional ₹60.79 Cr under the  Ministry of Jal Shakti to Arunachal Pradesh within the next two months. 
This was assured by the Union Minister Jal Shakti, C.R. Paatil when Arunachal Pradesh Home, PHE & Water Supply Minister, Mama Natung called on him at his office in New Delhi seeking release of pending GoI share of ₹457.59 Cr under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
Natung also appealed to the Union Minister for consideration of funding under Support Activity & Water Quality Monitoring & Surveillance component as envisaged in the guidelines for ₹ 60.79 Cr. 
Natung also highlighted and expressed gratitude to the Jal Shakti Ministry for its constant support and guidance as a result of which Arunachal Pradesh has become the first state in the North East to be declared ‘Har Ghar Jal’ by providing Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) to more than 2.28 Lakh households.
Natung was accompanied by Seppa Town MLA Ealing Tallang, PHE & WS Commissioner Pawan Kr Sain, DRC (Protocol) Marto Bagra.
