Itanagar, Aug 27: Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom along with SP Naharlagun  Mihin Gambo, EAC Naharlagun Khoda Bath and officers from Highway Department visited the Via-duct bridge between Nirjuli to Karsingsa today. 
Earlier, a committee to examine the feasibility for opening of the Via-duct had reported that the load testing for the RHS of the Via-duct is completed while the load testing for LHS is in progress. Without the load testing of the LHS, it will not be feasible to open the via-duct bridge for public utility. The experts from the Department of Highway also recommended to complete the load testing first. 
The Committee however suggested that in case of any exigency or catastrophe at the block point area of Karsingsa, the via-duct (RHS from Nirjuli) may be opened for emergency services and accordingly, the RHS of the via-duct was opened for traffic movement for emergency services today.
