ITANAGAR, Oct 19: The District Ujjwala Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Capital Itanagar Talo Potom today and attended by DFCSO Capital Amit Bengia and representatives from IOCL, BPCL and LPG agencies. 
The meeting was held to discuss regarding effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna (PMUY) scheme in Capital Region. 
The DFCSO informed that under the scheme, women belonging to Below Poverty Line families who do not have LPG connections in their name will get free LPG connection.
The DC informed that publicity of the scheme and mass awareness amongst the general public will be carried out in collaboration with IOCL Department and LPG agencies etc.
