ITANAGAR, Dec 5: The ADC Capital Itanagar Shweta Nagarkoti convened a meeting with the OCs of Capital Itanagar to discuss regarding important issues that needed immediate attention and to discuss measures to control them.
The ADC directed the DMO Dr Mandip Perme to ensure regular checking drives of shops under COTPA and especially those situated near educational institutions. She asked him to direct the DTCC ICC Flying Squad team to schedule a time table for strict implementation of the same. She asked the DMO and OCs to work in coordination with each other while assuring all kind of cooperation from the District Administration.
Also highlighting the important need to control various illegal activities like earth cutting, illegal Selling of IMFL, drug menace, wine shops and bars running beyond permitted time, shops running without license, gambling, ILP etc, the ADC asked the Police to remain alert and to carry out regular checking drives. She also asked them to ensure that wine shops and bars are adhering to the timing set by the DA.
