NAHARLAGUN, Jun 11: The Department of Industries organized a one-day capacity building and scheme consultation workshop on One District One Product (ODOP) in collaboration with Earnest and Young (EY) at DK Convention Hall on Tuesday.
Secretary Industries, Hage Tari spoke about ODOP and said it is the need of the hour and DIC intervention is required for its implementation.
While highlighting the government’s 100 days plan, P.M Vishwakarma, UNNATI, ODOP, he said the Department of Industries has been given a target of One District One Product.
On 9th March 2024, Prime Minister announced Uttar Poorva Transformative Industrialization Scheme (UNNATI) for the North -Eastern Region. UNNATI will cover all 8 North Eastern states and it will be effective from 9/3/2024 and will remain in force up to and inclusive of 8/3/2034 and 8 more yeas for meeting committed liabilities. UNNATI is designed to strengthen the Industrial Eco-System in the North East and attract new investment.
