ITANAGAR, Sep 30: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national spokesperson, Sanjay Singh alleged the present state BJP government for major corruption prevailing in the state, and therefore, to root out the corruption, he appealed to form an AAP government in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Singh, said that the people of the state can’t rely on the present state government for a progressive transformation of Arunachal Pradesh. Further, he alleged that it is the present government, under which education, coal mines, hydropower, roads, etc. are being sold for own gain.
Sanjay Singh, who attended a mass joining programme organized by the state unit of AAP at DK Convention Hall here on Friday, said that it is very unfortunate that in the world’s largest democracy, votes and voters are being lured by money during elections. Likewise, party tickets are also being purchased, which is a wrong trend prevailing in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
He said that it’s very unfortunate that those leaders involved in such practice are today in the highest post in government decision-making. And these leaders in the tenure of 5 years are completely involved in corruption practices to regain their money used before elections.
“I strongly believe that none of the state government has funds deficit in delivering quality education to the people. Likewise, the same is true with the state of Arunachal Pradesh. To ensure quality roads, free education, free power supply, etc., the intentions of the leaders of the state should change,” he said.
He said the recent case of the APPSC cash-for-job scam is a clear indication of how corruption is prevailing in the state. Further, he questioned the state BJP government for the pathetic road conditions, no free electricity, education, poor health and educational infrastructure, etc.
“When a state like New Delhi can provide free electricity to the public, why can’t Arunachal Pradesh? Arunachal is the powerhouse of the country. The state is capable of providing free electricity to the public but not doing so. This all clearly indicates how deep corruption has reached,” he added.
Singh appealed to the people of Arunachal Pradesh to support AAP to make a quality transformation of the state and its people by opposing money culture during elections.
When questioned on the repeated claims over Arunachal Pradesh and the denial of visa to three athletes to participate in the Asian Games by China, Singh said that this is all due to the negligence of the BJP government.
“The BJP government has always failed to respond strongly to the Chinese counterpart on these issues. China has repeatedly been claiming our land and recently denied visas to our athletes from Arunachal Pradesh. The BJP government should put an end to this matter, which they are ignoring time and again,” he said.
