SANGRAM, Dec 9: “The BJP is not against any religion or community, but it only focuses on development," said state BJP chief Biyuram Waghe amidst a mammoth gathering of party workers, PRI leaders, and the public here at Layang, Sangram on Saturday during a one-day Orientation cum sensitization programme on Vikshit Bharat Sankalp & Vikshit 19-Nyapin Sankalp.
Addressing the gathering, Waghe also appreciated the rapid developmental works done in the 19-Nyapin Assembly constituency in the last seven years under local MLA & Minister Home, PR & RD Bamang Felix. There was a time when people had to think to travel to Kurung Kumey district, but today road connectivity has reached every corner of the constituency. Such success has been possible only because of the dedication and commitment of the local MLA  Bamang Felix, the cooperation of denizens, and the state government led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, he said.
He further urged the public of Nyapin constituency to continuously extend support to the party in the next election for more such grassroots development. He categorically claimed that the BJP is not against any community or religion, but its sole agenda is the development of the state, its people, and the nation.
Earlier, more than 937 people from 19-Nyapin constituency with different political affiliations joined the BJP in the said program. Speaking on the occasion, local MLA & Minister Home Bamang Felix informed that people have extended their faith in the BJP after observing the rapid development in the constituency. There are a few requirements in some remote areas, and those too will be completed within a short time, he assured.
Felix also claimed that before the BJP’s government in the state, the scenario of his constituency was different, adding 'now we have witnessed radical development.' Earlier, there was only 15% road connectivity, but now almost 95% is completed. Water connectivity was only 18%, but now we have achieved 100% water connectivity. Electricity connection in the constituency was only 12%, but now almost every village has been connected with electricity, achieving 100% connectivity, he said.
“Infrastructure development has rapidly progressed under the BJP government in the constituency, and almost all the requirements have been completed from education to health. Now, I will focus on the individual development of denizens by making them self-reliant," asserted Felix.
Among others, State BJP General Secretary  Nalong Mize, District BJP Incharge Kurung Kumey- Nani Opo, Vice President-BJP Junty Singpho and others also attended the event.
