Balek, Dec 22: The community members of Balek cluster  covering eight Gram Panchayat segments  of Sibo, Rasam, Mongku, Tigra, Boying, Kelek, Roying, Gune and Balek turned out in large numbers at the VBSY campaign organized at Balek Dere today to facilitate awareness and  essential services on agriculture, health, housing, maternal health, sanitation , adolescent health &hygiene and awareness through IEC Van and HoDs of beneficiary oriented schemes  informing on major central Government  flagship schemes. The Balek cluster of Gram Panchayats were also felicitated for achieving ODF plus model villages under SBM (Grameen).
District Planning Officer & Member Secretary VBSY, Tatak Mibang, ZPM Bogong-I Tamut Tasung, Prominent public leader, Nalong Mize handed over certificates to beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandhana Yojana and other beneficiary central flagship schemes. Mize highlighted   on welfare schemes and digital initiatives, transparent governance, e-governance, launching of flagship schemes for all sections of society towards an inclusive development for all.
Augustina Moyong from Kelek Gram Panchayat also shared on adolescence health & hygiene programs for adolescent girls in Anganwadi Centres under ICDS.
