PASIGHAT, Sep 14: Founder Chairperson of voluntary blood donation organization AYANG, Aini Taki Taloh, popularly called “Ayi” has urged the youth and students to serve society in various capacities with the motto of “Service to Man is Service to God” and believe in the mantra of “I can”.
She was addressing the weeklong Universal Brotherhood Day celebration marking the 131st Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, today as Chief Guest in the function held at the Seminar Hall, College of Agriculture. She along with other dignitaries gave away prizes to winners of “Arise! Awake!”Essay Competition conducted among eight schools of Pasighat and also felicitated dedicated Teachers of various private and government schools of the district. The District toppers were 1st Miss Sara Dai (KGBV), 2nd Miss Asang Megu and 3rdMiss Mum Taga at the district level.
SP East Siang, Dr. Sachin Kr. Singhal also emphasized that the values of brotherhood, spirituality, amity and tolerance is all the more relevant today and urged the youth to carry forward the torch of these values in society.
Noted cultural figure of the state & Sah Prant Pramukh, Arunachal, Vivekananda Kendra Pai Dawe in his keynote address said Swami Vivekananda awakened us to take pride in the glorious cultural heritage of Ancient India and to work with the spirit of one family one world. Dawe dwelt at length on the life, philosophy and contributions of Swami Vivekananda and the impact of the Chicago Speech on the world.
Prominent Author and Group Captain Mohonto Panging Pao VM (Retd.) as the head of the district unit of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti (VKAJ) highlighted services provided to the needy sections of society by Arunjyoti in the district.
