Naharlagun, Dec 22: The Department of Legal Metrology & Consumer Affairs, organised a Consumer Awareness Programme for NGOs, VCOs,Traders etc., regarding consumer rights & duties, role of State and District Commission, Non-Standard/Manipulation of weight & measures, quality standardization like ISI/hallmark/ISO, product imitation, package commodities & MRP today.
Taba Tabin i/c Controller LM&CA in his keynote address focused on consumer rights. Debia Tana, ACLM (PP) addressed the various consumer rights and their duties. A brief word of awareness was also given by K.P Tago, Retired ACLM as resource person.
Various members along with Tadar Nyanyia, Bazar Secy. Naharlagun Bazar welfare committee and Bajarang Pacharia (Legal Advisior ACC&I), officials also attended the programme.
