Khandu inaugurates Arunachal Niwas, fourth facility in New Delhi
Assam-Arunachal border delineation exercise concludes in Lower Siang
KHONSA, Oct 26: The Assam Rifles donated furniture to government funded schools in Kunsa, Kaimai, Lamsa, Wathing, Katang, Tupi and Chasa villages in Tirap and Longding districts.
The aim of the initiative was to provide assistance in improving the quality of education by fulfilling basic requirements. Owing to decline in insurgency and more parents willing to send their kids to schools, there has been a drastic increase in new admissions to schools in the current academic year. This has resulted in certain schools facing acute shortage of furniture, the security forces said in a press statement.
