KHONSA, Oct 1: Assam Rifles conducted a counseling cum interactive session for Sainik School aspirants here today. The counseling cum interactive session was conducted for the students who were shortlisted after the series of exams conducted by Assam Rifles in various schools of Tirap district in August, this year.
A total of 40 students along with their parents and guardians attended the session. The counseling was conducted primarily to motivate the students and enlighten them about various aspects pertinent to being enrolled in the prestigious Sainik Schools. The counseling session was a prelude to the coaching classes that will be imparted to these students from October 3 next at Assam Rifles Public School, Khonsa. The classes would be conducted under the tutelage of experienced teaching staff who would conduct lectures in consonance with a meticulously crafted curriculum.
This initiative by Assam Rifles will pave way for the future of the youth of Tirap district. The number of students who had enrolled for the test that was conducted previously was enormous and indicates the favour of the masses in support of this initiative, the AR said in a statement.
