ITANAGAR, Oct 5: In a shocking incident, a constable of the Arunachal Pradesh Police was found dead inside the guard room of Minister Mama Natung's bungalow.
The deceased Constable Kabak Soni, was serving with the 1st AAPBn, and was found dead at his post as a Sentry on duty at the private residence of Sports Minister Mama Natung at Senki View. Preliminary investigations indicate that he took his own life by firing a shot to his temple between 1 am and 3 am. The firearm used was a 9mm Carbine machine gun with 20 rounds, one of which was used in the tragic incident. Authorities have recovered the empty cartridge and the discharged bullet.
Inquest proceedings have been conducted by the Niti Vihar Police Station, and the body has been transferred to TRIHMS, Naharlagun. The family of Constable Kabak Soni has been informed of the heartbreaking incident, informed SP Itanagar Capital Region, Rohit Rajbir Singh (IPS).
