Tuting, Jul 15: On the occasion of World Youth Skill Day, the troops of Spear Corps of Indian Army organized an event on the theme “Skills for Peace and Development”.
The event was marked by performances of students of Govt Higher Secondary School & Kendriya Vidyalaya on the UN theme for 2024 i.e “Skills for Peace and Development".
Videos of various successful entrepreneurs of Arunachal Pradesh who have converted their skills into gainful business models and are providing sustained employment opportunities for the local community were also showed for the benefit of the students.
More than 160 students attended the event. This initiative is a remarkable display of Indian Army’s commitment towards empowering today’s youth by enabling them with skills for promoting peace and development of the nation.
ADC Pandov Perme attended the programme and motivated the students to learn gainful skills and listed out the efforts of the government in providing the same. He appreciated the Army's efforts on the day, urging more such events to be conducted in the future as well.
The Officer from Indian Army stated “On this World Youth Skills Day, we celebrate the potential and promise of our youth. By investing in their development, we are not only building a stronger nation but also a brighter, prosperous & peaceful future”.
