Itanagar, Jul 29: The Arunachal Pradesh Women's Welfare Society (APWWS) submitted a formal request to the Member Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority for legal aid counsel for Mohimang Litin, the mother of late Olip Litin Mukerjee.
On July 27, the APWWS team met with Mohimang Litin at her residence in Rani Village, Pasighat. During this meeting, it was learned that she is facing severe financial difficulties. Litin expressed a need for legal representation, and given her economic condition, APWWS requested the appointment of a legal aid counsel to assist her in this case.
"We believe that providing Smt. Mohimang Litin with legal aid is crucial to ensure she receives the justice she seeks for her son. The loss of her son has been a devastating blow, and we hope that the legal support will help her navigate the challenges she faces,” it said.
APWWS sincerely hopes for a prompt response and action from the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, as timely legal assistance will be instrumental in addressing the concerns and needs of Mohimang Litin. The Member Secretary, APSLSA, Yomge Ado, promptly acted upon receiving the application and appointed legal aid counsel. APWWS deeply expressed its gratitude and thanked him for his prompt action.
