Itanagar, Aug 22: The Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) team called upon the Chairperson of the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women, Kenjum Pakam, after receiving a copy of a letter from Tengam Celine Koyu, Former Miss Arunachal, appealing for support to fight against the injustice and threats she is facing. As a mother NGO, APWWS is deeply concerned about the safety and security of our daughters and sisters in whatever field they work, it said.
For the safety, security, and proper monitoring of all women-related state events, APWWS emphasized the necessity of constituting a committee with a woman of strong integrity as a member to prevent any form of exploitation and harassment in the workplace. APWWS has extended solidarity to the Former Miss Arunachal in her fight for justice.
