Itanagar, Jan 9: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar team led by Chairperson Kenjum Pakam, Vice Chairperson Nabam Yahi Tad and Member Kago T Yasung attended the one-day legal awareness programme on "women empowerment, girl child education, legal rights for women, substance abuse, HIV AIDS" today at Nyapin, Kurung Kumey District. The programme was organised by Muskan Women Foundation in collaboration with APSCW. 
As the Chief Guest, APSCW Chairperson Pakam spoke on the importance of Self help group, girl child education and availing the benefit of loan from bank and emphasised on marriage registration.
APSCW Vice Chairperson Nabam highlighted the legal provision for women and appeal not to misused the peril  law. She also spoke on  social media preservation of one's identity, language and culture, women's empowerment economically. As an example, she mentioned about the inspiring story of Smt Babiya Miuw idu Mismi cuisine as self reliance.
APSCW Member Kago highlighted on power and function of APSCW.
Mrs Asia International-cum-Councillor of AP AIDS Control Society Koj Baya Eshi spoke on substance abuse, alcoholism and HIV AIDS.
ICDS Dy Director Kago  Maya  Gyati Dy spoke on the provision  of government scheme for women and children.
Guest of Hounour Nyapin-II ZPM Tadar Tadey appreciated the Commission and the foundation to organise such awareness programme which not only benefit the women and girl child by society as a whole.
Muskan Women Foundation President Ngurang Anung also spoke during the programme. 
The programme was attended by more than 100 participants including Mrs Arunachal Final participants, gaon burah, gaon buri, officials of ICDS and general publics.
