Itanagar, July 18: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar has appreciated Sub Inspector Jadav Kutum and his team of Harmuti Police, Assam for rescuing an Arunachalee girl victim recently. Their vigilant action and prompt action saved the victim from untoward accident.
The APSCW has requested the state government to emphasise on creating awareness among the general public especially young girls on crimes against women and girl child.
“Due to lack of awareness on crimes like domestic violence, cyber crime, trafficking and others, women and young girls are being taken advantage of and become victims,” said Chairperson Kenjum Pakam.
Further, the APSCW appealed to the Community Based Organisations and other NGOs for their vigilant coordination in such cases to prevent unfortunate events towards women and girl child in society.
