ITANAGAR, Sep 18: The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) successfully conducted the General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) examination under a new and improved system, ensuring the highest levels of transparency and accountability, said Parul Gaur Mittal, IRS, Secretary of APPSC.
Addressing the media, Secretary Mittal highlighted that this is the first examination conducted by the Commission in almost two years, following a period of controversy. The GDMO exam featured a revamped structure aimed at enhancing fairness and efficiency in the recruitment process.
Mittal detailed the significant reforms introduced to streamline the examination system. These include changes in the format and evaluation methods, specifically designed to minimize procedural delays and resolve candidate concerns. “The new system places a strong focus on transparency, ensuring that all steps of the process are clear and accessible to candidates,” the Secretary explained.
One of the key advancements is the integration of advanced technology to facilitate the smooth conduct of the exams. “We have adopted improved methods that make the entire process more efficient and secure,” Mittal said, adding that this is part of the Commission's ongoing efforts to uphold the integrity of competitive examinations.
In a move to address candidate grievances more effectively, APPSC has launched a dedicated section on its official website. Candidates can now lodge their concerns and track the resolution process in real-time, reinforcing the Commission's commitment to accountability.
Mittal assured the public that these new measures are part of the APPSC's continuous effort to refine the recruitment process, with the goal of ensuring that all exams are conducted with the utmost fairness and professionalism.
The reforms are expected to set a new standard for competitive examinations in Arunachal Pradesh, as the Commission strives to maintain the trust of aspiring candidates and the general public alike,she added.
