PASIGHAT, June 22: As desired by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy(MNRE), Govt. of India, one day user’s and awareness Training Programme on Biogas Technology and Vermicompost was organized by APEDA East Siang District on Friday at Pasighat.
In his key note address APEDA Project Officer Er. Kape Badak informed that the concept of the said training programme was to raise awareness and publicity about the benefits of Biogas Plant Operation and Maintenance of Plants and also to give exposure to officials and other stakeholders about the benefits and practical aspects of Biogas Technology. He also highlighted the importance and a concept of biogas in the part of Energy Conservation as Biogas is a renewable, as well as a clean source of energy.
Gas generated through indigestion is biogas which is a renewable as well as clean source of energy and is also nonpolluting which reduces the greenhouse effect. He appealed all the participants to gain knowledge to spread the awareness to the people of East Siang district. He informed that names of 98 beneficiaries has been selected and will be benefited during this financial year 2023-24.
Jon Mani Kalita, Project Manager BDTC IIT Guwahati and Anup Dutta, Senior Project Assistant BDTC IIT Guwahati were the resource persons of the programme. The programme also was attended by the Biogas Beneficiaries and officers and officials of APEDA East Siang district.
