YINGKIONG, Dec 19: Continuing the journey reaching the unreached the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in its 19th day in Upper Siang reached Gossang and Moying Gram Panchayat today. The program was graced by Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Alo Libang along with Rajender Kumar Negi, Joint Secretary ( Admin and IC) Govt of India -cum – District Prabhari VBSY Upper Siang, HoDs, officials and others.
While addressing the gathering, Libang underscored the importance of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in fostering unity and overall development of the country. He informed that aim of the Yatra is to generate awareness regarding the central government's welfare schemes and policies and achieve 100% saturation of the same.
Libang, said that people from all walks of life have immensely benefitted from the welfare schemes and appreciated the departments for their untiring efforts in bringing the development and various government services at their doorsteps. The Minister also administered the 'Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat' pledge to all participants.
Negi, in his speech highly appreciated the Upper Siang administration for organizing the Yatra in such far flung areas in a befitting way. He highlighted the importance of Yatra and said that the main objective is to achieve maximum coverage and to identify those who might have been left out and register them to avail the benefits of government schemes and informing the citizens about Govt flagship schemes and its benefits. He further requested all departments to disseminate the information of all Govt flagships schemes properly at the grassroot level and encouraged the people to join the Yatra so that maximum number of people can join the campaign.
Main attractions of the programme were Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani segment wherein various beneficiaries shared their personal experiences, felicitations of beneficiaries, information sharing by HoDs, Health and Har Ghar KCC camps and displaying of short awareness videos by IEC van. DIPRO
