Shergaon, Aug 22: During his tour of the West Kameng District, Agriculture & Allied Minister Gabriel D. Wangsu, accompanied by Secretary of Horticulture Koj Rinya (IFS), visited the State Horticulture Farm and Trout Farm in Shergaon.
During his visit, he interacted with officials from the Agriculture and Allied departments, discussing various developmental initiatives.
Local NGOs showcased their products and harvests to the minister.
Minister Wangsu also met with fish farmers who are successfully operating under the Pradhan Mantri MatsyaSampada Yojana (PMMSY) and Atma Nirbhar MatsyaPalan Yojana (NMPY). Additionally, he visited an agriculture farm in the Shergaon area where persimmons are being cultivated under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development (MOVCD).
Local MLA Tseten Chombey, DC West Kameng Akriti Sagar, SP Sudhansu Dhama, ADC, administrative officers, HODs, PRI leaders, GBs, and senior members of the public were also present during the visit (DIPRO).
