PASIGHAT, Dec 4: Adi Bane Kebang Youth Wing (ABKYW) held an eight-hour peaceful sit-in at the College of Horticulture and Forestry and College of Agriculture, here today, after the concerned department failed to fulfill their demand.
Adi Bane Kebang Youth Wing had submitted various representations to the Dean of CHF/CoA and the Vice-Chancellor on 20th January 2023, 21st April 2023, and 13th November 2023, regarding job reservations for APST candidates. Despite repeated representations, the authorities concerned have not responded, said Gige Pertin, Chairman of ABKYW Employment Issue.
The three-point demand of the ABKYW are job reservations for Arunachal Pradesh Schedule Tribe (APST) in Group A&B: 80 percent, 100 percent reservation for Group C&D jobs, and all recruitment for CHF and CAU should be conducted within Pasighat itself.
