Yupia, Aug 12: 5960 students from across 60 schools in Papum Pare were administered the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan pledge as a part of the IEC activities to create a Drug Free Papum Pare.
Schools including both government and private took part in the district event. The school in charges presented talks on ill effects of drugs before administering the pledge.
Teachers, officials, police personnel, anganwadi and ASHA workers across Papum Pare also took the Nasha MuktBharat Abhiyaan pledge to join the fight against drugs.
At Yupia, Deputy Commissioner Jiken Bomjen administered the pledge to all the administrative officers and HoDs.
