ITANAGAR, Mar 30: In a significant development bolstering the standing of the incumbent BJP government, the party has successfully clinched the seats of 10 candidates unopposed in the forthcoming Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to his social media platform to announce this triumph, underscoring a notable achievement for the party.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received from the electorate, Chief Minister Pema Khandu extended warm congratulations to the elected candidates. The unopposed candidates include CM Khandu himself from 3 -Mukto constituency, Chowna Mein from 46-Chowkham, Dongru Siongju from 7-Bomdila, Techi Ratu from 15-Sagalee, Techi Kaso from 13-Itanagar, Hage Appa from 17-Ziro-Hapoli, Jikke Tako from 20-Tali, Nyato Dukam from 23-Taliha, Mutchu Mithi from 43-Roing, and Dasanglu Pul from 45-Hayuliang.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the significance of this electoral success, attributing it to the unwavering trust and support of the people in the vision set forth by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a brighter future. He pledged a deep sense of responsibility and commitment from the elected representatives towards serving the constituents with dedication and sincerity.
With the BJP fielding 60 candidates in the upcoming assembly elections, the recent unopposed victories have significantly propelled the party's prospects. With just 23 more seats needed to secure a majority to form the government.
While other parties such as Congress, NPP, NCP, PPA, and others have also fielded candidates in select constituencies, the focus remains on the BJP's momentum as the state gears up for polling scheduled on April 19. The results of the elections are slated to be announced on June 2, marking a crucial juncture in Arunachal Pradesh's political landscape.
Meanwhile BJP, Arunachal Pradesh celebrated the occasion with CM Pema Khandu, Ashok Singhal, Minister, Govt. of Assam cum Election In-charge Arunachal Pradesh, Biyuram Wahge, State BJP President, Tarh Tarak, State Vice-President cum BJP State Election Management Committee, among others.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu while congratulating to the people of the State on the election of 10 MLAs unopposed, said that BJP will win with thumping majority the coming election and said that the BJP is fully confident that it will win all 60 seats in the State Assembly. He also added that 2 BJP MP candidates, Kiren Rijiju from 1-Western Parliamentary and Tapir Gao from 2-Eastern Parliamentary Constituencies will also win with thumping majority. 
Khandu said that  60 BJP official candidates were selected out of more than 170 party ticket seekers on the basis of their performance and credibility. He said that his BJP led government did lots of developmental activities for all round development in the state and assured to work for the greater interest of the people.
Ashok Singhal said that winning of 10 MLAs unopposed is a testament to the unwavering dedication and trust of the public. He congratulated Chief Minister Pema Khandu, DCM Chowna Mein,  and others on being elected unopposed stating it as the reflection of the Modi ki guarantee and unwavering support.
