TEZU, Aug 8: Zonal Hospital here got an essential facility with the inauguration of District Cold Chain room by DC Lohit Prince Dhawan today in presence of DMO Dr S Chai Pul, doctors and paramedics of the hospital.
“Special requirement of cold chain which is extensively used in hospitals & research labs to store blood samples, life-saving drugs & serum samples was a long felt demand and with this we can more efficiently store vaccines and other required materials to deliver better healthcare services to the patients,” DMO said.
Later DC inspected the only Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre at the premises of the hospital, distributed fruits and interacted with the patients. “Benefits of rehabs should be availed and the medical team is providing free services and your participation could bring a lot of change to inspire the other addicts to follow,” DC said.
Meanwhile, SMO Dr S Towang and caretaker of the rehab centre also highlighted the benefits availed by opium and other drug addicts of Lohit, Anjaw, Namsai and Lower Dibang Valley districts.
