ZIRO, Sep 26: The two day Ziro Literary Festival started at St.Claret College today with a powerful message from Jeet Thayil, Sahitya Award Akademi winner on climate change and the role of every individual in tackling this issue during his conversation with Nandini Nair, an acclaimed journalist.
Jeet Thayil also nominated for the Man Booker prize read out his compositions. His compositions include-- These errors are Correct, Narcopolis,The Book of Chocolate, Apocalypso.
Commissioner ,ICDS , Department of Women and Child , Government of Maharashtra, Indira Mallo inaugurated the festival. Mitra Phukan presented the keynote address.
The film "Bulbul" written and directed by Rima Das was later screened.
