CHAYANGTAJO, Jun 24:  A devastating fire incident reduced a traditional house belonging to one Tukik Yangfo to ashes in  Tamsang Yangfo Village in Chayangtajo Constituency, East Kameng District. The fire destroyed local ornaments, livestock, and other properties, causing significant loss to the family.
The Yangfo Welfare Society, led by Chairman Honipa Sono Yangfo, promptly responded to the crisis by providing financial assistance and relief items to the affected family. Chairman Honipa emphasized the importance of preventive measures to avoid future incidents, highlighting the society's commitment to community support.
Hayeng Mangfi, MLA of Chayangtajo and Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources, also extended his support by donating 60 CGI sheets. In addition to this generous contribution, the Yangfo Welfare Society donated a total of Rs 1 lakh, with further donations of Rs 35,000 from its women's wing and Rs 15,000 from its youth wing, collected through the collective efforts of society members and well-wishers.

We also thank all contributors for their noble gestures. Our society is dedicated to supporting those in need to the best of our ability," Chairman Honipa stated.
