ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) on Saturday levelled serious allegations against the Department of Land Management for indulging in “cash for job” scam.
Addressing reporters at press club, President, Geli Ete alleged that the department officials while violating the Recruitment Rules have allegedly hired candidates in various posts by taking bribes without floating any recruitment notice.
Alleging this, Ete claimed they have unearthed substantial evidence proving the involvement of few top officials of land management department in the alleged job scam.
“The Youth Congress will take up the matter with the highest authority if no action is initiated against the Job Scam. And in the meantime, I fervently request those who have been appointed illegally to morally resign from their posts before their names are revealed in public otherwise I will file an FIR too,” appealed the Youth Congress Chief.
Meanwhile, when contacted Land Management, Secretary SK Jain rubbished the allegations and clarified that no such appointments were made nor has he received any file regarding the recruitment.
He further clarified that after formation of staff selection board (SSB) no appointment has been made through the department as all recruitment related activities are being taken over by SSB and Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).
Director Land Management, Enyo Nangkar while talking to this reporter over the phone from Mumbai also clarified that no such illegal recruitment was made after formation of SSB.
“There were few promotions done on officiating basis, but no direct appointment has been made through the department,” Ngankar added.
