ZIRO, Nov 26: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) today kick started its village-wise election awareness campaign on "Money Free & Fair Election" from Bamin-Michi village, Ziro.
The program was warmly participated by village elders, women, gaon bura-buris, village intellectuals, students and youths beating the chilly weather of the valley. Some youth and elderly participants pledged that they will not take money and will discourage the same and will vote for development in the coming assembly election 2019.
The awareness program will be held at various villages around Ziro valley till December 10.
While our target is to eradicate money culture during election but we know that the task is going to be challenging and is not going to be achieved today or tomorrow... yet AYA is determined to begin the task, a release from the association stated.
